Nope. Not me. Its a personal choice, and the sad death in Canada did not change my outlook at all. I do agree kids and beginners should be made to wear helmets though. Maybe they could introduce a system like a driving license when you reach a certain level in lessons where you qualify to take your helmet off?
Maybe not, as it probably wont be too long before it becomes compulsary to wear a lid.

I'll be back in mine - only got it originally to convince #2 daughter to wear one, but wouldn't be without it now.

Don't think that really makes sense. The better the skier you are normally the faster you go, so surely increasing the need for a helmet.
All the very best skiers in the world wear them don't they? It's compulsary in all racing throughout the world & they don't have anyone else on the slope to hit or trees to crash into or rocks etc.
All of us wear them, even my 2 racers (15 & 19) when free skiing.
Too many idiots on the slopes doing stupid things for my liking.

Totally agree. It doesn't matter how good anyone is at skiing, its everyone else. Just like driving.

always worn one so no change did save me from an injury last year when i got hit from behind by a beginner in italy :oops:

In our groups (usually about 30 per trip) most now wear helmets. About 6 years ago it was just one or two, but every year more have bought one. I reckon this winter we'll only have one or two not wearing them.
As for all children having to wear them, I totally agree. Though when snow is involved I think the term 'children' should include all in the 1-101 age bracket. :wink:
