Lip balm & small tube of high factor suncream, winter sports insurance, wheelbarrow for euros )

I'd be jealous too, but off to St.Gervais in 13 days.

Don't be nervous JamesH - it's great learning to ski in your 30's - it just leaves you full of regrets that you didn't do it sooner!!
The plan is.... there's no plan!

only possible thing i can think of is sunglasses?? You may prefer these to goggles to ski in, in which case you'd want a sunglass cord aswell so when you fall you don't loose them!

I'd be jealous but.... no wait i'm jealous!

Maybe a small rucksack ... take a bottle of water. You may get thirsty ... if you fall a few times you'll be surprised how much energy you use getting up again.
And don't forget your camera !!

Off to Hinterglemm in two and a half weeks myself .. for ski holiday number 2.

I hope you fall in love with the sport as much as I did ... I couldn't wipe the smile off my face.

I recommend neoprene knee bandages and ibuprofen (much cheaper here). I reckon on the third day you'll need both, as you'll be in pain but won't want to stop.
Have a good one!
I'd be jealous but sneaking out to Les Gets for weekend.

Sounds like you've got it covered. Don't wear the scarf whilst skiing though. I could scare you with stories about people who get them caught on ski lifts - but I wont. )

Have a great trip. :)

also, cut your toenails really short to make the boots as comfortable as possible, but that's a whole other subject

Hi,
I'd echo sunglasses and add that wearing a snood is really great (it's the tube of fabric with a drawstring at one end), wear it round your neck instead of a scarf to keep you warm/ it doubles as a has when it's not too cold....
