Exactly how many holidays have you been on this season? you always seem to be going away?
Geneva airport is without a doubt the best airport i've ever been to. we were in/out within 15 minutes of landing.
What I would say is don't get caught out with the currency on the way back. I tried to buy an english newspaper for 2.5 euros (or so it said on the paper) to get rid of some change. Then found that the shop I bought it from in the airport only accepted swiss franc and in the end i paid with a euro note not really understanding the situation, which was exchanged at a dogshit rate, only to be given a shit load of swiss shrapnal back in return!
Enjoy the hol mate!

As if. I have only had 2 weeks this year on the snow; a week in Mayrhofen mid Jan and a week in Saue end of Feb, so this is only week 3 skiing, which is something I intend to do each season, get 3 weeks away.
I only get 26 days holiday a year, so quite happy to use 15 of them skiing, get another 2 weeks in the sun in the summer by using 8 days (bank holidays are useful!!!) and then a few days away towards the end of the year.
However, I am just changing jobs, so my new allowance of holiday might just allow me to sneak in some extra days somewhere too. Which was nice.....

Awfully sorry Tony and Souldrive, just completed my 6th week. It is the one minor advantage of age. Oh, and reduced price lift passes, Niederau 207 Euros, for the season.....
I'm definitely all skiied out though.
And my carbon footprint is shot to pieces
Would far prefer Sion airport to Geneva, I have had some terrible experiences there over the years.

Well Geneva airport is officially Rubbish. We ended up in the Charter side, where the cheap flights come in, and you get bussed half way across Switzerland from the plane.
Not only that, but our pilot made a really heavy landing. It woke me up
Coming back home, the flight was delayed 3 hours (thanks Monarch) and we spent most of that time in the chalet cafe. Overpriced and over heated nonsense. And all those ridiculous shops selling £10,0000 watches and diamond jewellery.
Anyway, Geneva Airport aside, Switzerland was brilliant.
And yes, the goggles came in pretty useful, especially when I sat on 1 pair of my sunglasses on day 2. And no, I dont need powder skis. The Blizzard X Cross 10's were brilliant off the mogul fields and through the fresh virgin snow.
Never seen snow like it. Amazing.
