If its a case of convenience, stay in chatel for skiing chatel, all of switzerland and avoriaz. Stay in Morzine for skiing Morzine, les gets and avoriaz.

The only bit of PDS as far as I am aware you can't get a lift link to is Abondance. Also part of chatel you need a short bus trip. You'd be unlikely to be able to ski the whole are in a week- forget a few days. Agree Morzine/avoriaz most central area- but the skiing in Morgins(Swiss) is a little different!

You can ski all over the main PDS ski area easily - it's well linked up, and provides excellent terrain for all ability of skiers/boarders.

People might say... 'oh but when we were there we didn't get to go over to such and such a place' I say, that's because you chose not to... If you have decent stamina and want to ski all day every day you'll be fine... i'm not big on Morzine because EVERYDAY you have to ski through Avoriaz, i don't want to do that everyday - for me, Chatel is one if the best resorts to access the linked PDS areas (not Abondance or StJD which are small disconnected areas) There is easy access to the Swiss side as well as making a big day of skiing to Lets gets if you want... there are multiple points access multiple areas.

Abondance is not part of Chatel, it's in the same valley but a good 20 mins drive from Chatel, it's Abondance (period)

That's like saying SJD is part of Morz... it isn't

Nope, Abondance isn't in chatel, but it is included in the PDS pass- don't think the suggestion was that it was in chatel- and nope, concur, SJD isnt in morzine either.simply stating that it isn't lift linked!

To avoid skiing through Avoriaz every day from the Super Morzine, its best to get the free bus to Ardent which puts you nicely in the middle with access to lots and lots of places to go.
its all going rapidly downhill!
