Bandit - Yes, I meant Snowcard, not Snocard.

I remember your story. It seems like you were treated poorly for essentially being honest.

Seems to be the way with everything these days.

Thanks for the replies. Finished up renewing with D T, they also have an "automatic renewal clause" but you can opt out with an email

Columbus direct. Paid out £10k when I had an accident with no queries or drama. I use every year now.

Some reviews from Columbus Direct customers on this site...

http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews-all-153412.html

Within the Policy Document Section 15 titled "Winter Sports Cover" the co. clearly state...

Conditions
1. Cover for off-piste skiing/snow boarding is restricted within resort boundaries or with a qualified guide.
There is no cover for search and rescue.

I would not consider this Policy because of the 2nd sentence above.

Clearly the 28 reviews it is based on are representative of the majority of insurance policies Columbus sell?

Give me any insurance company and I will find negative feedback for you....

I don't hi off piste so no problem for me

Non resort boundaries is that when you leap off behind a chair lift?

Not necessarily, outside of the resort boundary, might mean the flat track to and from the bottom lift and the bus stop.

The small matter of not having any search and rescue for a skiers policy is quite serious. This could mean that you will have to pay for your own helicopter to hospital if you are seriously injured ON piste.
