AllyG excellent news all round  Your boot liners can be stuffed with newspaper and left to dry slowly, well away from a heat source. Clip your boot shells up while they are waiting for the liners to dry. I put Dampire Dry Zones in my liners each night and enjoy lovely dry boots every morning :D
When you come to put the liners back into the shells, open the shell top as much as possible, and make the cuff of the liner as small as possible. I like to do my refitting kneeling on the floor with the toe of the boot facing me. Once I've got most of the liner back in, I push one hand down the back of the liner (between liner and shell) to make sure the heel of the liner goes into place properly. It is easier to do it, than explain it
Do double check that you are putting the correct liner back in it's shell, it's easily done!

Thanks Bandit :D
I hadn't thought of putting newspaper in the liners, but I did think it might be a bad idea to put them on the radiator so I haven't. I will put the newspaper in them now.
I had quite a job to get the liners out, so I can believe that it will be quite difficult to get them back in. I will know which liner is which because the one with the squishy pebble in it goes in my right boot.
The liners have 27.5 written under them, so it's surprising they fit okay, when my feet actually measured 26.5

Moisture often collects under the insoles so it's a good idea to take them out and dry them separately.

Thanks Swingbeep,
I've taken those out as well.
Oh ... I've just thought of something ... who's going to help me put my boots back together again :?:
I can see myself going all the way back to the Fulham road in London to Profeet and saying 'Well, you see, it was like this ...'

I take Dry Zones with me when I ski, they simply absorb the moisture overnight and give you nice dry boots every day. AND they take away any smell too.
Ali, you will possibly lose half a stone in sweat when it comes to putting your liners back in. Take my advice, and do it outside!

It can be a pain putting ski boot liners back in however a tip I received from an instructor friend was to pinch the heel as you are lowering the liner in.....
It works!

Thanks very much everyone for all your tips :D
I will have a go at getting the liners back in tomorrow, and if I can't do it then I'll take all the 'bits' with me when I go ski-ing in Courchevel and see if the nice people in the ski hire shop will do it for me when I go to hire my skis.
I have just measured my special orthotic insole, seeing as I had it out of the boot, and it's 4.5cm thick from the base to the top of the arch support. It's not surprising that it felt like I had a large squishy pebble in my boot and I had such difficulty ski-ing the first time I wore my new ski boots in the snowdome!
Where do you buy these special dry whatsits from?
