Kate,
It would be very nice if it did mean that I'm normal, but what I think it actually means is that in that scan I am 'normally' crooked, as compared to the one where he's corrected my stance and labelled it 'ski' (presumably he means the position he's put me in to ski).

Basically he's straightened me up, and I'm used to being crooked, which is why I was having so much trouble trying to ski like that (plus the plums of course)

Yes Ian I can smell something too when looking at the scans,I thought it was coming from my graphics card being overloaded.

Ally you should have had your wellies fitted while you were there, as you're only in ski boots for 6 days & in your smellie wellies 359 days of the year.

Ally, will that boot bag pass as hand luggage when flying?

And Claire, I might be going back to Milton Keynes at the end of June - I will try to remember to say so in case you want to come as well :D

Thanks, if you p.m. me next time you come to MK I'll see if I can make it :D As I'm not off for any real snow until next January I'm not keeping track of what is happening on here so much.

It must have been someone else's children you knocked on Thursday, mine never complained of being hit by the poma!

What a nice thought....No one else's feet have been in your boots!

Now don't put them in their very special bag in the cupboard.....Potter around the house in them for an hour and start to break them in....looks a little odd when someone comes to the door though!! Do this a few times before you put the boots away.

Repeat the process before you go skiing next time then your feet and boots should be happy together!

Thanks everybody :D

Dave Mac - I'm glad you liked my report and thanks for the 5 stars (I reckon it was you) :D

Brooksy - you're quite right - I was thinking of getting insoles for my wellies as well, but I think I'd have to buy bigger more expensive wellies to have room for the special insoles.

Snapzzz - I'm pretty sure my very special trolley boot bag is too big to be allowed as hand luggage on a plane, but I don't mind about that because usually we go on the train. I wanted something I could wheel about on the train from here, the London underground, in Paris, and through the snow once we get to the resort. Boots are very heavy. And it takes two pairs so if my daughter decides she wants her own boots as well I will be able to carry hers too.

Claire - I'm glad your kids are okay :D I really think I should write to the Snow Dome about the safety issue with that Poma. If whoever it was that got hit by it hadn't been wearing a helmet I'm sure it would have really hurt. All I did was let it go, as usual, and it swung up in the air and round and hit them on the head. I will send you a pm next time I'm going there.

Alistair - I hope I'm sorted as well :D

Huard - thanks, I will try walking about in them a bit. However, I think one is only supposed to walk on carpet with them, in case of wearing out the soles. My technician told me to keep an eye on the soles of the boots and if they start to get worn to bring them back in for new soles before they get too worn which would mean buying new boots. I am hoping they will last me for the next 30 years or so :D

Ally, I'm not sure walking around in your boots is a good idea. I was told to wear the boots indoors in a standing / ski position to help bed them in for 15/20 mins at a time. Walking around will create compression areas in the wrong part of the insole especially at the heel. I wait to be corrected by those with far more knowledge.
