Everyone has alcohol in thier bloodstream at all times, due to the bodies natural fermentation of consumed sugars. This would mean that all insurance claims could be voided. There must be some kind of baseline surely.

Yes, agreed. I suggest it would be up to a policyholder to ask their own Underwriters, for this in writing. As we all deal with the effects of alcohol differently I wonder what figure they would say for the baseline?

I have not seen too many drunks on the slopes, but I have seen ski instructors sitting down to lunch enjoying a carafe of wine

I reckon by 2.30pm the number of people who had not had a drink would pale in comparison to those who have.

I have never particularly noticed any drunks on the ski slopes either, but then, there are so many people falling over and staggering about on skis anyway, that it would be hard to tell

I've never noticed anyone drunk on the slopes either, but I have seen plenty of people drinking alchohol at lunchtime.

Unfortunately I have seen quite a few drunks on the slopes. Mainly Germans in Mayrhofen. They take the lift up, find the first bar on a sunny day, and sit there all day drinking, and then ski off. WHAT IS THE POINT???
I have stopped for a coffee at 10am some mornings and seen large groups of German blokes tucking into their 3rd pint.
Maybe the bars and cafes should have opening times for alcolholic drinks to help prevent this?
