I got the following link on an email from Rocketski and thought I'd share it

http://www.rocketski.com/newsletters/ebd-25-09-09.html?utm_source=n250909&utm_medium=em&utm_campaign=ebd-extended

(hope the link works ok)

I added it to the original thread on Rocketski so people can make up their own minds - I have used Equity a few times.
Same resorts/accommodation but with Rocketski you make up your own components.

Thought people might like a look, see what's on offer.

Rocket will not send couples or small groups to the resorts advertised on their websites. They are focusing on large groups and school parties. I tried to book Schladming and was told they dont do it anymore, but they do for large parties, and I mean like 50 people. The only place in Austria they were prepared to send me was Saalbach and I didnt want to go there in March.

They do offer a few French resorts, as your email states, and we opted to return to Serre Che, but not to the Clubhotel Le Grand Aigle, which was quite similar to a labour camp in the Urals.
The chalet they have looks really nice and good value for money.

I found last year that if you wait until late, they offer some really god deals, such as Serre Che club board for £269pp, if you dont mind staying in an air raid shelter.

Actually, quality of accommodation is a good point.

With these people it can be very varied. Claviere (Passero Pellegrino) good. Schladming (Rossl) not bad. Prato Nevoso (Mondole) avoid.

We had chance to go to Saalbach in March with Equity too. But much as I want to go to Saalbach one day we couldn't this time.

We have also stayed at the Mondole - I take it you had one of their rooms which doubles up as a broom cupboard (or worse) )

The view from our room was not snow covered mountains but a breeze block wall, about 3 feet away. It was a bit like being in a bunker.
Some people did had the view of the mountain and the location is quite good.
BUT to walk to the slopes you had to negotiate an obstacle course consisting of broken pallets and ice. It was treacherous. Then you had to slide down a short mud covered slope. Familiar?

Food wasn't much cop either.
But Prato is the only resort that we've used with Equity that we didn't like.

And Wickers is totally correct. You get what you pay for. It was something like £580 per person - all in. We do it cheaper now by driving and having our own equipment.

Despite resembling a military barracks, Le Grand Aigle in Serre Che is in a fantastic position on the piste, 1 minute from a large and under used Gondola.

Dids1 - our room did have a superb view of the blue run and beyond (but only if we stood on the dressing table). I am intrigued by your route to the slopes - ice, mud and the assault course! There was so much snow when we were there that it was skis on just outside the boot room, then shuffle across the terrace outside the swimming pool and then almost vertical through a couple of bushes and straight onto the blue run and down to the chair.
