Another good days skiing in Grandvalira. Sun shining but clouds gathering this afternoon. Who knows, the forecast snow may actually arrive this time!

Hi, I have just booked a room for 2nd - 6th Jan in Soldeu - so excited, my first time in Andorra! I'm going alone from Barcelona, if anyone would like to meet up for snowboarding/skiing or having a beer after, let me know :)
I also consider going to Grandvalira for a day or two still in Dec, not sure on the exact time yet :)

How are the crowds on the slopes Brucie ? Looking at the web cams it seems nice and empty. Not queuing for all the lifts would make a nice change.

Few Centimetres have fallen overnight in Soldeu, but not enough to make a difference I'm afraid. Forecast dumps stubbornly refusing to arrive here. Slopes are getting busier, but not overcrowded for the time of year. Will report back on hill situation later.

Well, I was wrong! Conditions greatly improved today especially over Pas way. Even managed a bit of off piste. More snow required, but pretty good conditions considering.

End of my third day and I am very impressed with grandvalira. No lift queues, empty pistes and the snow is holding up ok given lack of snowfall.

Loving it here and still cant get over the lack of lift queues

As the reports come in from around Europe it appears that we are once again lucky to be here in Grandvalira. More snow definitely required but all links and main runs are open with good skiing. Have met j2skier Malamute in the Harp. Pop in and have a pint Markinkent!

Headed home now brucie but thanks for the offer.

My first trip to grandvalira and totally smitten. Queues started to build on last day but first five were amazing, totally queue free.

Enjoy the rest of your stay - lucky man
