... when around here we get a lot of fog forming in the valley as temperatures stabilise, by December there'll be more cold air around and this won't be so common. But now the line's around 1800m so if you get above the view is pretty amazing.
and it's quite moody around the tree/fog line as well :

And this is off topic, but how many times do you see the sun out in Wales? )
What do you mean? the sun is always shining here in Wales!! :D
Nice pic though - is it Snowdonia park?
The sun is always out - in the next valley
Reminds me of a "Foxy" joke about kayaking in N Wales.
You load car in the rain
You drive up there in the rain
You pitch your tent in the rain
You get up in the rain
You get to the river and there's not enough water in it
Very nice photos BTW

The peak is Mynydd Mawr and the lake is Llyn Cwellyn, this is the valley that the reopened rail line from Carnarvon to (eventually) Beddgelert runs. Mynydd Mawr is an outlier for the Moel Hebog group and Nantlle ridge group and the photo is take from open country between Rhydd Ddu and the Snowdon Ranger track.
