Lovely mountaineer pictures Ise. Evoked memories of looking at the low cloud views with the Kitzbuehler Alpen and WildKaiser projecting through.

Trencher, that's got to be a Minesota joke, converted to Wales?

Not really, the first two with an EOS350 which is an entry level DSLR and the second two with a Canon A95 which is a bog standard compact digital. Most modern cameras are pretty good I think. I do have other apparently better cameras but I prefer that duo for weight and performance in fact I use the compact for 80% or more of the time. The only thing I can't get good results from is the phone on my camera but I need to play with it more.

If you've got great scenery and a reasonable camera it's just a case of not getting in the way too much :) Some basic settings can be found for most cameras that produce good results 90% of the time. The thing to remember is that the auto shoot modes will be geared to general use and for most people that's not mountains. So you just have to fiddle around a little to find a good setting for summer/winter mountains and use it all the time.

Your eyesight's obviously beyond the range humans have, there's no one in the first picture at all.
