Once stayed in chalet in Val D'Isere that was mainly occupied by this 'Godfather' type figure and his 'crime family'. Not very pleasant dinner conversation and this gang weren't really interested in skiing at all; a kind of glorified stag group summed up by one of them who told me Scotland was much better for a skiing holiday because you could go shooting instead of to the slopes!

To be perfectly honest, you can share a chalet with anyone provided they are interested in skiing, as everyone has something in common come what may.
At least with posh people you might get some sensible conversation. A chalet full of nutters of chavs would be a disaster. I shared a chalet with a group of lads from Leeds and another group of lads from Manchester in Mayrhofen last Feb. I think you can imagine how the conversation went at dinner.
