Hi Dave,
Yes, you're quite right. I forgot about the option of ski-ing in Courmayeur. And, funnily enough, I was considering La Thuile and Brides until I finally gave up trying to book myself another ski holiday this year. I could have got the Planibel apartments for £384 p.p. for 2 people for the week (with Igluski).

I hope you have a great time in Brides les Bains. Let us know exactly how long that gondola ride is and what time the gondola starts. I had thought it was 40 minutes from top to bottom, but other people have said it's only 20 minutes. I know it's 3 sections - Olympe 1, 2, and 3.

Dave,
I think that was the same offer I was looking at on Sunday, but it was from Manchester for 4 people. I wanted it from Gatwick for 2 people and consequently it went up from £277 to £384 p.p. as it was for a 4 bed apartment.

Yes, Igluski told me that because the snow has been so good this year loads of people want to get out there and experience it for themselves, and the bargains are flying off the shelves!

It would have to be La Thuille - much as I love the 3 Vallees, Brides is (IMHO) a dump of a valley town, and the thought of the bubble each way up to Meribel would put me off.

Still each to their own! :D

Ally

You actually were going to book a self catering apartment for 2 people at £384pp???

You need your head testing.

Do you know these apartments Tony? If not I dont reckon you are very well placed to comment

If you do know them, they may suit Ally down to the ground. Dont tell peeps they will be/have been ripped off - not very productive to be honest.

You got out the wrong side of bed this morning? ;)
