Rubbish.
I know you've got a chip on your shoulder about insurance companies, but suggesting Wickers would not get a payout because he posted on here that he prefers a helmet is utterly utterly ridiculous.

Whatever you say Tony, no chip BTW just experience over 28 years of skiing.
Your suggesting an insurance co would not pay out if Wickers claimed because he posted on here that he prefers to not wear a helmet, and that he is deliberately putting himself at risk. Like I said, I believe thats ridiculous.
By the way, just to be certain, which camp are you in when it comes to wearing helmets? I don't think you made it clear enough
If its compulsory all would have to abide, obviously
I mean, compulsory for ski instructors, as part of the job description.
I meant for skiers

....thing is, is not whatever I say, its what you said that worried me.bandit wrote:Ian Wickham wrote:I would say the same applied to the Grand massif, I am quite proud really me and Mrs W were the only ones in the chalet not to wear Lids, although I did have put one of the chalet staff in his place when he tried to convince me to wear a lid....... In the event of an accident I suppose any insurer would pick up on this statement, as it's in your name. Most policies require the policyholder to refrain from needless peril

I don't think, myself, that the insurance companies can discriminate against bobble hat wearers until the ski instructors stop wearing them.
But once it becomes compulsory for them, for safety reasons, to wear a helmet, then watch out all bobble hat wearers

Sorry but I thought helmets were not compulsory for adults, nothing in my policy to say I have to wear a helmet ...... so until it becomes compulsory it is my wish not to wear one.
The issue from the thread is it is optional so I choose not wear one, please feel free to continue the discussion :D :D :D
Viva le bobble
