I have the problem too but for France. I am due to fly Saturday ( Val Thorens). Has anyone heard anything? I heard a rumour from a friend about to come home from Austria, that Macron was closing the French resorts tonight too. It would be easier for me if he did! I think things are getting pretty bad in France - 3,000 known cases ( which could mean about 100,000 actual cases). But was so looking forward to it and I stand to lose a lot of course.

given developments in the Tyrol today, I have obviously now cancelled my trip. It remains to be seen if I can recover any of the costs incurred from insurance or otherwise. However, even I do not recover anything, it is a relatively minor loss for me.
On the other hand, it is clear that the negative impact on businesses, especially small businesses in resort could be catastrophic. I think our thoughts should go out to these small businesses. Hopefully, not too many of them will fail over this premature closure of the season.

Vorarlberg and Salzburg have also decided to close their ski resorts for the rest of the season at the weekend.

Just had our trip for 21st cancelled by Crystal ski as Mayrhofen are closing their season early to try and protect the locals.

Several resorts in the Spanish Pyrenees have announced they're closing from tomorrow. They are Cerler, Formigal-Panticosa and Valdelinares ski resorts run by the Aramón group. It seems to be a group decision rather than something the government has forced on them, and so far other major ski areas in the Pyrenees seem to be operating normally.
Ski areas in France are increasingly highlighting that they are still open in social media, presumably to counter-balance all the rumours of imminent closure for them too, but of course who knows what today or tomorrow will bring.

Ski areas in Andorra have also announced they are closing tomorrow. Saas Fee in Switzerland hints there might be "an announcement" later today but noting definite.
