In the case of ski lifts I don't think it will be too much of a problem if individual skiers won't comply, they will likely to have their lift passes cancelled and if there is general resistance the lift company will probably shut the lift. Anybody not complying with the degree including lift company managers, bar owners etc. will be liable to prosecution.

The number of confirmed cases in Italy has doubled in the last 48 hours, there is widespread community transmission in Lombardy and the hospitals there are under severe strain, most of the beds in the IC wards are occupied by people infected with the virus. The head of Italy's National Health Institute has said that the next seven days will be "decisive" in stopping the spread of the virus. If the measures put in place so far do not result in a slow down then more restrictive measures will likely have to be put in place.

Was in to see my doctor today - not coronavirus for me as yet, but something minor thankfully. It came up in conversation though and he said about a billion people around the world get flu each year and 750,000 people die of it. He said as far as he was aware everyone dying of coronavirus had underlying health issues/elderly - the type of people who usually die of flu. He was concerned that the panic about it could be more dangerous than the actual illness.

If it is like flu...we have outbreaks every year. I dont know of anyone who has had real flu for eons. Ive had it once in my life and it wiped me out as a kid. Im not young anymore so I'll take my chances..it is not as though you can avoid being exposed to it..many carriers might not know they are carrying..?
just take sensible precautions and carry on.

Which hotel are you staying in? Due to fly out 14 March 2020. I like the idea of no queues.

I'm just back from the Dolomites and I really feel this area is not affected at all. I would not cancel a holiday there unless you are older or have medical conditions or have young babies. No cases there as far as I can work out and they are currently getting loads of snow. The airport was a bit spookily deserted but the Italians seemed really on it when we arrived.
