I've never been to Kaprun and am looking forward to it with an open mind :)
Apparently I will be expected to get on a bus some of the time !!!
But as it is now October it is officially time to check the webcams daily and get over excited after 2" of snow !!

Been there 8 times andy. Fantastic region. We normally stay in leogang and are booked in there March 4th. Be prepared to bus it to different resorts as kaprun isn't that big. Get over to leogang if u can. It's huge. The kitzteinhorn glacier is great fun although overrun with Russians these days. (No offence intended)

Thanks for that, Ade - 8 times is a pretty impressive total! :)
I've only been ski-ing in Zell am See/Kaprun once myself, about 10 years ago. I thought it was great! :)
If enough people in the group are interested we might book a mini-bus or coach to go to different ski areas in the region - like when we went to Orelle and the 3 Valleys from Sauze d'Ouix for the day. But this time I don't have to organize the holiday because Old Andy is doing it, like he did last year :)

Great ally. As far as I can remember the buses between resorts are free with a ski circus lift pass so you can travel freely. It's been 10 years since I used the buses though as we have had a car every time since. Enjoy anyway. We'll be there in march.
