Have they invested a new helmet that stops the brain smashing the inside of the skull?
It's not the smash on the outside, it's the brain hitting the inside of the skull that will cause the fatality.
The helmet will prevent other injuries, but is unlikely to prevent the fatal one.

I bought a helmet at the ski show yesterday after banging my bonce last year. I haven't worn one before but my daughter swears by hers. No more goggle fluff from sticking my goggles on my bobble. Can anyone enlighten me.....I thought I saw some where that under 18's now have to wear helmets in Italy.

To the best of my knowledge it is under 14 for compulsary helmets in Italy.
