TO's ...... Have not used them since 2000.

TO's Reps ..... Serve no use to me on my holidays ...Waste of space.

Geneva Airport ...... Flights always departing late, a bus ride to pick up your hire car.

Brits on Holiday ...... Normally stear well clear, Normally loud I don't really wish to here their Conversations.

French Coffee ..... Can't belive that a country so near to Italy can't make an Espresso.

Chalet Holidays ...... Only been on one .... but I could do it so much better.

Wow, Wickers! I had no idea.
I've used tour ops since 2001 apart from 2 DIY trips and they provide exactly what I need, in terms of the package of flights, transfers and suitable accommodation. You have to look hard and be choosy. St Christoph 3.3.12 for example.

Reps - transfer bus reps have a lot of uses; hows the snow? What time do the lifts open? Booking a lift pass. Finding out the best bars or places to watch sport on TV, local info and weather.....etc However I have to say other in resort reps I have never needed to use, but guess they come in useful in times of illness or injury?

Geneva Airport - flown into it twice, once on divert which was a disaster, the other we were delayed 5 hours coming out. Have to say its not a place I'd deliberately avoid, but I don't have the best memories of it.

French Coffee - have had some good coffee in Serre Che and ADH but maybe thats something to do with being further south and nearer Italy? Otherwise I think you're right on this one.

Chalet Holidays - I've enjoyed quite a few of these in recent years. Mind you, I imagine it could be ruined if you end up with a bunch of toffs who look down their noses at you, or a gang on a stag week (extremes, maybe but you get the picture). I love the chalet experience; hearty breakfast provided, cake made for tea time, sauna and hot tub, chatting with like minded people, keeping out of the pub and therefore not spending as much money, ski in ski out.......

Maybe you've bene unlucky and had a bad experience, but I have to say my own experiences have been pretty damned good, and I've met some really nice people, many of whom I am still in touch with.

Coach transfers, especially when the driver thinks he is Jensen Button!!!! Have since bought travel sickness tablets.
Hot hot hot ski hire shops.. have now bought own boots but can't quite justify skis ..yet!
The walk to the slopes, only 100m they said, hmmm
Queue jumpers, don't mind the ski schools as they have limited times but the rest? And sorry to be ageist but it is often the older end of the scale here. From my recent experience and usually locals.
The wind whistling down your neck on the chair lift because you didn't quite get the hat/ goggles and Buff exactly in line and you dare not try to adjust it in case you drop hat/ goggles/ gloves or poles.!!
BUT BY FAR THE BIGGEST HATE HAS GOT TO BE THOSE....SQUAT TOILETS, fine for men but women with ski boots on well that is just an amazing feat of balance and skill. :)

I guess for me most of the Rep information I can find out for myself, lift pass book on line and it is part of the holiday fun for us ..... I wonder what Austrian coffee is like not been there apart from Innsbruck airport for quite a few years .... Ooohh the excitment.
Chalet experience I might be a bit harsh on this one, the other clients and they were a big group were fine, Food was OK perhaps I expected too much, I did expect restaurant quality and it was just
OK.And I don't really need cake at 16.00 hrs.
I think I would quite like the Toffs, I'd have running for hills after 24 hours, I would have much fun at their expenses.
To close for me a Catered chalet is fine if you go with a group, And I'm not saying that I would not do it again, I would just lower my expectations.

I hate those as well but haven't encountered one for some time - are there still some left?

Interesting thread. There's always something that annoys me for about 2 seconds when I go skiing and then I tend to forget it.

I suppose if there is one thing that really gets my goat its transfers and delays, more so on the way home than on the way out, but even then there's a bright side (last year we were delayed from Salzburg for a few hours so I drank a few beers and then we ended up going home on long haul plane which was massive).

I get annoyed with myself when I get over excited and drink too much then I get a hangover the following day - completely self inflicted, but annoying all the same.

Pet Hate...

Restaurants or anywhere that has Pay Toilets for women, and men don't pay. France used to be the European ski resort leader in this practice, not sure if they are now.

Queueing at the airport there and back and airport prices...outrageous.

Jobsworth airlines who can't make up their minds about baggage allowances/whether ski boot bag is a dangerous weapon and cannot be allowed in the cabin.

Accommodation you can't swing a cat in that is supposed to be for 6 people (only on a ski holiday would we put up with this). In one "apartment" you had to drop your trousers in the corridor and shuffle backwards into the loo, as when the door was closed it rested on your knees! I thought I was in an episode of Mrs Brown for a while there!

Noisy party goers until 4 am followed by a piste basher under the window at 6am.

Extortionate prices for beer/food etc.

Rude people in the queue at the lifts that like to stand on the backs of your skis.

Mogul fields that are not marked as such so you are committed whether you like it or not!

Apart from that I usually have a good time :-)
I can see my house from here...
