But guess what ! I made it :) i felt a bit sick because i was insanely out of breath; however scoffing the McDonald's down seemed to ease the pain

Snowbandit,
Well done for keeping up with the exercise, even if you haven't managed to lose any weight yet.
I am trying to lose weight as well, but I haven't dared to get on the scales yet and face the truth of how much I actually weigh at the moment. But I think I have lost some, because there is a bit more space in my trousers now :D
I was very good as well. I went out to lunch and all I ate was a big plate of salad - and I ignored all the puddings!
Gummybear - I don't think you've got much chance of beating a bus in a race - I'd start with something a bit slower.

Nelly,
I found my original 'fit to ski' book. It was exactly where I thought it was, only for some ridiculous reason I couldn't see it last time I looked. I can give it now to my husband's relative for her to use, as she's coming ski-ing with us.
And I've got a cold, so no running for a few days, just walking. What a pity. I was just starting to get fit again.

I bumped up the amount of time on the step machine last night. It's getting easier which I presume means I'm getting fitter. :D

This morning when I took Mr Dog out I jogged rather than walked! I'm not as unfit as I thought and only stopped a couple of times and that was to wait for the dog.
He was trotting along side me for a while and wouldn't stop to do his business so I stopped specially for him to poo.
3 mornings a week should be just about right plus the evening ambles with Mr Nelly and a few stretching exercises.
6 weeks Friday!
When did I start this thread?

My fitness has been sadly neglected over the last few weeks . I've tried to squeeze in the odd bit of yoga here and there but don't feel I've put my heart and soul into it. As of today I'm going for it, not only do I have to get into a dress for my sister's wedding on christmas eve (and a very tight pair of jeans on friday night!) but I've only got 19 days to go.................... :P
