I did some walking through water in waders on Sunday - that really gets your thighs working. Might get some practice in on my Wii skiing game

I'm still looking for my ski exercise book. Also dog walking and thinking about jogging now rather than using my bike.
The mind is raring to go and all that.
Must get motivated!

Nelly,
Have you found your ski exercise book yet? I've given up looking for mine, and my new/secondhand one arrived today.
Warm up exercises below, for everyone (not just Nelly!) - all for one minute:
Jog on spot
Star jumps
Squats
Rotating jumps
Jog on spot with 5 number of 5 second sprints.
(The first time I tried this I was knackered - warm up indeed!)
Then stretching exercises - ease muscles into stretch and hold for 10 seconds
Need pictures for these
Calf, back of thigh, front of thigh, back, chest, abdominals, shoulder and upper back.
Ally

I should have asked Mr Nelly before even starting to look for the book, he found it straight away - no more excuses!

Nelly,
Pass my congratulations on to Mr Nelly for finding your book :D
Time to start using it now, I think.
I gradually increase on the exercises, and I've got up to 40 squats and 80 star jumps now - I don't want to hear from anyone who can do thousands of them  and I can run a mile now. When I can run 3 miles, do 60 squats and 100 star jumps then I know I will be fit enough to ski.
But I have a long way to go yet.

Well for a whole week now I have done a 20 minute session everyday on my step machine and not a thing has passed my lips that contains fat or sugar (Except some Vodka on Friday evening).
I have not lost a bl**dy ounce!!!

Aye, but you'll soon be a lean, mean skiing machine....think of the calorie burn on the slopes.... ;)
