Most of the resort was shut down until the afternoon. We ventured out at 2pm when they opened the Olympic telecabin after the winds had died down a little. The pistes were very good with some nice soft patches of blown snow to mess about in.

The next three days look much better. Probably head over to Tignes tomorrow (although still snowing at the moment so the weather front is still in the area)

Looking a lot brighter this morning although still a bit of light snow falling. Another late start for us but we are heading over to Tignes. Most of the lifts and pistes appear to be open. Heard quite a few bombs early morning. Very hard to tell exactly how much snow has fallen as it has blown around so much. Only a few cms in town but maybe 20 to 30cm higher up? Total guess to be honest. However, it's certainly freshened things up a lot.

Happy to hear that things have freshened up for those on holiday but really whole of Alps could do with a good m of snow. Still perfect, climbing conditions for those who are so inclined.

Just in. Had a great day with most of it in Tignes. Still snowing at times but much brighter and the winds have died down. The pistes are in excellent condition throughout. Very little queuing which has surprised me as we now into the peak Christmas week (Tues to Tues).

Unseasonably warm though, particularly at the end of the day. Was about -1 or -2 at 2,500m. -8 on the Grande Motte. At least +3 in the town at the end of the skiing day. Roasting hot carrying our food shopping back to the apartment!
