That's not really a problem as long as you can take an extra day off work, because you could have a look around Geneva whilst you were waiting for the evening chalet transfer.
However, what would be more of a problem would be if you couldn't get a late evening flight back, after ski-ing, because you'd have to stay in a hotel in Geneva overnight (we did this once) and it costs about £80 for a double room.

This is the 2013 ski holiday thread about our chalet in Tignes les Brevieres etc.
If you scroll down to the bottom of the page you can see where the Mountain Sun chalet is, in Tignes Les Boisses, which is sort of Tignes 1800, just above Les Brevieres. It's very easy to get from there to the rest of the ski area.

Sm4sh forget a short break, you'll spend as much if not more on taking 3 days as you will a week. Obviously a weeks lift pass will cost more but I look at taking a shoirt break every year and then decide its not worth the money and go for another week instead

Tony is right, if you only have a few days its great but if you can manage a week it is much better value.
When in doubt?....Flat out.

I think Sm4sh said at the beginning that money was the problem. If you can find him 6 days of ski-ing for just over £400 including flights, half-board accommodation, transfers, ski passes, and ski and boot hire then I'm sure he'd jump at it :)

How about - we all play who can find the cheapest ski holiday for him in a decent resort?

:) sounds like a plan because I havent a clue. Money is abit tight this year with house moving. But i dont want to miss out on a ski trip like I did last year.

So really im not fussed where i go. Id go back Borovets if it was cheap

Im still trying to find flights to Geneva but they all seem to be morning. so its either miss a day on the slopes or pay the extra for another night.

I don't know about flights from northern airports, but if you can manage to make your way south, the London airports, like Heathrow and Gatwick, have plenty of flights to Geneva and back at various times all day :)
