I would not go to Font Romeu in December too risky. Ganvalira El Tarter area is my best recommendation.

If you want to stay in France and not have too far a drive from Perpignan, then try Les Angles - not a huge resort, but probably enough skiing to keep you occupied for 4 days.

Will you commute each day, or do you plan on staying in resort?

It's a long drive from Perp to Andorra!

The Grand Tourmalet (Bareges-La Mongie) resort is the biggest in the French Pyrenees, but it is a fair way from Perpignan. The skiing there is excellent, and the prices are up to 1/3 cheaper than the Alps, so definitely worth a try.

Nearest to perps is
http://www.cambre-d-aze.com/ aka Eyne, not a bad size, enuf pistes for a day or two, Basically you go as far as Mont Louis, Eyne 3km from there
Bolquere 2000 is not far either, this is part of the
Font Romeu domain, and I think is nearer than Font Romeu
