The hard-pressed licence fee won't pay for it, when there's ballroom dancing on a Saturday night eating up the budget!

Me too.

Going by the TV over Christmas, it seems that the BBC have given up making anything decent or informative for the 100 quid license fee. The best they have to offer these days is David Jason falling over several times or Victoria Wood wittering on about Jaffer cakes or something. Awful.

It was the only original thing on as far as we could tell and it was terrible.

My folks have very basic cable, so I could only see on the schedule that sky sports were running a Warren Miller marathon on Christmas day. This is what I imagine skiing purgatory to be.

Like somebody said, thank goodness for Eurosport.

Ski Sunday is back today at 4.45pm on BBC2

"Graham Bell and Ed Leigh present highlights of the men's World Cup giant slalom races from Adelboden in Switzerland. Plus, Ed meets British snowboarder Jenny Jones in Colorado, to discuss her hopes of success in the 2014 Winter Olympics"

That should get me in the mood...
