Don't look now (actually, do) but winter might be back...

Temperatures dropped dramatically overnight, across most of the North and Eastern Alps... and came with a little snow.

NNIXSY's already reported new snow in Les Menuires, and here's a shot from Chamonix town (avec neige) just now...



Looking around the webcams this morning; the snow has not got everywhere yet, although quite a few ski areas in Austria, France and Switzerland are either white or showing cloud/fog.

There looks to be fresh snow in Megeve, and here in Arosa also...



And snow on the trees in Manigod, near La Clusaz (all the La Clusaz cams appear to be fogged-out at the moment!)...


...any more snowy shots out there?

It's back for this week, but no massive storms expected. Good for those who are on holidays this week, as slopes got refreshed a little bit. But freezing level will rise above 2000m next weekend, and then who knows? My friend's grand ma, life-long Nendaz local, says that spring is here now whether we like it or not. Maybe she's wrong, hopefully.

Lots of fresh snow in the Arlberg. It snowed 3 times last week, including a dump of almost 20 hours. Fresh tracks made by a certain pair of Scott Neo's.

Tell me about it! Last good skiing day here was yesterday, and not even freezing temps at night on the ten day forecast. I feel cheated out of couple of weeks skiing :cry: Was thinking about a Utah trip, but that doesn't look too good at the moment.
