Quick heads-up for anyone travelling to/from the mountains this coming weekend...

UK Weather Warning - Friday 16th December

The Met Office have issued a warning for a Storm likely to affect much of the UK on Friday. Very strong winds, rain and snow possible to the North.

Alpine Weather - Friday 16th through Monday 19th December

As the above storm system reaches The Alps, widespread and heavy snow is likely; reaching quite low levels at times.

Although still a little far out in the forecast, this could be a snow event of some significance.

If you're heading to The Alps, you should keep a close eye on the forecasts this week and prepare for snow-affected journeys.

Could all J2Ski Snow Dancers please stand down until further notice? you have been heard! 8)

... and breathe.

Oh no, that sounds pretty serious. My daughter's going to Tignes by coach leaving on the Friday with the Uni ski trip (24 hour journey). I hope the ferries aren't cancelled or the roads all blocked up with snow.

I want snow, but I want it all in the ski resorts. And I don't want there to be too much wind or they'll shut the gondolas and chairlifts.

And as for the dancing - well I wasn't responsible for that - I've been far too busy lately to do any dancing! :D
