Going on Saturday. Anyone else going to be there next week?

Can't wait. Most excited I have ever been.

I can see La Rosiere across the valley as I write this, the weather is awesome, the snow is awesome.

Went to La Thuile a couple of years ago which is in Italy but you can ski over to La Rosiere. Good skiing and some nice long runs. The lift to La Thuile however is a drag lift and one of the longest in the world. Not fun if you fall off half way up which someone did.. Enjoy...

Just back from La Rosiere, pretty small, pretty flat. All the good skiing is at La Thuilie, if I were you I would make the journey (only takes a half hour). La Ros was extremely busy for no apparent reason yet over on the Italian side it was frighteningly quiet!

Some ok runs in La Rosiere, a nice long black off the right of the main resort run - the snowpark isn't up to much at all and it can get VERY windy - not only gets very cold when the wind kicks up but most of the snow simply blows away!

Just returned from La Rosiere on Sunday. Both La Rosiere and La Thuile were really quiet, the three of us were on the first lift every day and had the pistes to ourselves. Apart from day 1, when the link to Italy was closed due to high winds, we spent 30 minutes getting across to Italy and then skied back. The problem is that the route is via open chair lifts and two very long drags, which means wrap up warm. Also start making your way back from Italy by 3.30 pm at the latest, if you miss the last lift, a taxi back is rumoured to be over 400 euros, (150k trip by car). The more challenging runs are in La Thuile, although there is a cracking red in La Ros, through the trees and down back to a point below the resort. Loads of snow and more powder was arriving when we left. Nighlife quiet and very family orientated. Cracking little resort.

Were you there on the 30th or was it my imagination how busy it was?
