Hey blaze, hmm a nice mixed set of requirements... 8)
I think you should add Les Arcs to your short list - it has superb skiing for all levels (definitely ticks your first three boxes), and will probably suit your beginners better than either of the others.
The nightlife will be wildest in Val, but not too shabby in Tignes either (Lac livelier than Val Claret). Depends how wild you want it... Les Arcs is probably the least riotous but still plenty of fun to be had.
TBH, with 14 of you, you'll probably be able to get a party started in most bars!

Hi Blaze,
I agree with the recommendations set out in the other 'posts'.
I was about to recommend that you add Alpe d'Huez to your list. But after checking your profile I see that that the resort is already recorded as one of your favourites. So you know all about its 'every level ' of skier attributes , wonderful scenery, good snow and sun record, long pistes, significant 'vertical drop' , and excellent off piste itineraries etc.
I just add , why not think about staying at one of the lovely satellite resorts of Massif des Grandes Rousses, e.g. Oz en Oisans, Vaujany or VillardReculas?

I'd have to agree and say Les Arcs although fingers crossed we may be lucky and have a winter that makes up for the last!!! here's hoping! I'm sure you'll have a great time wherever you end up. We're off to the Hintertux glacier 3rd week of january and I'm already getting restless, must go to the snowdome soon!! 8)
I would have got away with it if it wasn't for those pesky kids!

Hi Blaze
Plenty to choose from in Tignes some of the best advanced skiing in Europe and such a big area that its got somthing for every one.
Val has the best night life but Tignes has the best local skiing for sure on and off piste.
There is an excellent free beginers lift in Tignes Le Lac right next to some great bars to watch the action from.....always a winner...good luck

Hi Blaze
Have you thought about La Clusaz? It's only an hour from Geneva so easy to get to and cheap flights with about 4 different operators.
It's got some fab slopes for beginners, gentle and long, and some exhilirating slopes plus fab off-piste for for advanced skiing/boarding.
There are loads of bars and a couple of clubs to amuse yourselves in too - a big dude scene going on with all the professional free-style skiers/boarders who hang out here every year!
We can offer catered or self catered options from £102pp for 7 nights - take a look at www.gravite.co.uk for more info or drop me a private message via this forum.
Cheers, Dave
