Vaujany is part of the Alpe d’Huez grand domaine Ski area with access to 304 marked pistes, served by a total of 150 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Vaujany itself ( 46km 29 miles of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Alpe d’Huez grand domaine Ski ski resorts of Alpe d'Huez, Auris-en-Oisans, Oz-en-Oisans and Villard Reculas.

With ski lifts as high as 3,300m 10,827ft , skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.

The Vaujany ski area is part of the larger Alpe d'Huez domain, featuring a total elevation of 3,330 meters. Key pistes include the long runs of the Sarenne and the challenging black runs of La Fare, with lifts such as the Vaujany-Gonfaron gondola providing easy access.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Vaujany is Grenoble, 82 minutes drive away.

Chambery, Lyon Bron, Lyon St-Exupéry, Annecy, Geneva, Saint-Étienne and Avignon airports are all within three hours drive.

To reach Vaujany, the nearest major airports are Grenoble Alpes-Isère and Chambéry. From there, you can take a train or shuttle service directly to the resort.

The 19 ski lifts are able to uplift 14,000 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow-making is available, on 33km 21 miles of ski runs, with 444 snow cannons.

Season Dates

When is Vaujany open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is early December, and usual closing is Late April.

NOTE:- Ski area, lift and piste opening is subject to Current Snow Conditions.
