Tuesday was spent in the lesser-known area of Bruson. To get there takes about 30 minutes, down by the gondola from Medran to Le Chable at 821m, then an immediate change onto a gondola which connects to the extremely comfortable and fast 6-man La Passy chairlift.
After taking the short Grand Tsai button lift to 2228m, then it's up to you. We traversed and skied down through the 'Canadian Trees' - a larch forest full of deep snow. Second time around we skinned up to the 'Six Blanc' peak at 2445m before a perfect pitch down.
On Wednesday, Iain went with a guide off the back of Mont Fort and enjoyed huge untouched powder fields, accessed by a short hike.
