Beginners Weekend from Frankfurt

HI All - Looking for some guidance please , we are in germany for a few months living in Frankfurt and would love to try skiing so ideally looking for a nice quiet relaxed resort to maybe go for a long weekend but accessible by bus / train only from Frankfurt as no car option ?
Its for a group of 4 - one experienced , 2 intermediate , one beginner but its really for the beginner we want to take to experience a weekend to see if they like it and want to go again without huge costs

Can you recommend a location- any hints tips about getting there , where to stay best ski school etc
