Jura is a mountain range. There are few ski resorts in Jura but they are very small and mainly cater for local residents. Skiing their while limited can be still good in a good snow year. Anyway, there are lot of resorts you can get to in two hours drive from Geneva. Both in France and Switzerland - either side of Portes de Soleil, Villars, Verbier, even Gstaad.

You asked the same question in two forums on this site.

There are many, many options. It partly depends on which side of the lake / river you live on in Geneva, because driving through Geneva may add half an hour or more to your trip, so is something you want to avoid. From the north side, you may want to look at Swiss resorts. From the south side, where we have lived for a year and a half and which we know better, every French resort off the Autoroute Mont Blanc is within an hour's drive and there is little point in going elsewhere. There are many dozens of these places, most of which you never heard of and have perfectly fine beginner to intermediate level skiing, but if you want a large & top-notch name resort where you could spend most of a week skiing, there are about a dozen main options. These are the Portes du Soleil set of resorts (Les Gets, Morzine, Avoriaz, etc.), the Grand Massif set of resorts (Flaine, Les Carroz, Samoens, Morillon, etc.), Chamonix (plus Les Houches, Les Contamines), Megeve, and La Clusaz. This is an embarrassment of riches.

The skiing would be great for you at any of these places. You should think about what you want outside of skiing - large town or small, traditional or modern, nightlife or family atmosphere, many foreigners or mostly French - as well as the time of year - early or late in the season higher-altitude places are better for snow - and look up the descriptions on this site and see which appeals most.
