Great time to go but remember prices for lift passes, accommodation, flights, meals etc. will all be at their maximum as this is a peak period. Try, if you can, to go about the 8th January onwards-you will save 50% or more.

I have to ski Christmas due to my holidays!!
The resorts I have skied over the last few years are:-
2010 Bansko - This was my first ski holiday had an amazing time but very poor resort and limited skiing I skied it all in 3 days so we hired a car and drove to Borovets and that wasn't much better.
2011 Cervina - This resort was amazing loads and loads of runs and massive amounts of snow, quite a cheap resort and with access the Zermatt I qouls say this is the best of the 6 resorts I have visited due to the amount of runs, snow, fast lifts and cheapness and then put Zermatt and it is incredible only down side it's not the most challenging resort but the skiing is amazing.
2012 Tignes Really enjoyed Tignes & Val loads of runs massive amounts of snow and some great challenging runs, the runs aren't as fluid as Cervina you couldn't ski from the very top of the mountain to the very bottom with out going back up lifts to drop you over to the other side of the valley lift system not as efficient as cervina and definitely more expensive.
Shameless Plug!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This year I will be working the ski season in La Plange come stay with us if you like!

Amazing little chalet in the woods just off the run into town.
Hope some of this helps
