Hi. We are thinking about a short city stay then 7 - 10 days skiing in North America next winter, 2013/14.
We have looked at Vancouver / Whistler and San Francisco / Tahoe areas.
Any comments or suggestions re other areas? Any thoughts about the Tahoe areas?
We are one advanced/intermediate skier, one early intermediate boarder and one non skier who likes to walk / spa etc.
Would prefer close to slopes rather than transfers to slopes every day.
Thanks in advance, cheers.

I would have to recommend Breckenridge. Two hours from Denver. Fairly large old mining town with plenty of shops, restaurants and connecting services to Copper Mountain, Vail and Beaver Creek not to mention Loveland Pass. For the non-skier plenty of shops, bus services into Frisco and also at Silverthorne factory outlet shopping. Also the non skiers can easily join skiers on mountain from the middle of town gondola up to the mountain area.
