Start. All buses go to penkenbahn where you can get another to ahorn or walk the 300m over the bridge. Taxi from m to Hippach I'm guessing at about a tenner

hi, ive just booked to go to hippach in jan. not been there before , but been to mayrhofen 4 times. the brouchure said it was in mayrhofen . so didn`t find out it wasn`t until i got home . not to worried about that . looking for a quieter hol tham mayrhofen anyway. just would like some info before we go . is it easy to access the slopes ? is it easy to get the train to other areas like zell and kaltenbach. when we have stayed in mayrhofen we skied away most day useing the train. also im going with my wife this year as opposed to a group of mates and she hasn`s skied for 11 years so is there a spa in hippach for a day off if she needs it or do we have to travel to mayrhofen? we`re staying at the guesthouse nill if anyone has stayed there , anygood? though not much we can do now. any info would be great. tim

Hippach is quite a dull little village, reminds me of Niederau, as there not a lot going on apart from a small collection of shops. You have to get the bus to the slopes and its best to use the horberg lift and not go into Mayrhofen itself.
You'll probably end up having a few beers off the slopes in Mayrhofen and getting a bus or taxi back to your accommodation as it really is very quiet.
Youll need to get a bus to the train station to do Zell etc.

From Hippach you get the bus into Mayrhofen and also down to Zell. Alternatively take the bus to Mayrhofen rail station and take the train down. Ski Zell and across to Gerlos, its much better and a full day.
Buses into M are ok up until early evening and then its best to take taxis.
I found best bet was ski Penken and come off the Penkenbahn for a few beers, and then take a taxi back to your hotel for dinner or after dinner.
It will make sense when you get there!
