A small village of less than 1000 inhabitants but with above-average facilities, including an indoor tennis hall. The local ski area is lift-linked to Zell am Ziller, Konigsleiten and Gerlosplatte and is part of the 640km Super Zillertal Valley pass.


The Austrian ski resort of Gerlos is in the Austrian Alps at an altitude of 1,250m4,101ft, with 115km71 miles of marked runs.

Gerlos is part of the Zillertal Arena ski area with access to 322km200 miles of downhill skiing, with 143 marked pistes, served by a total of 112 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Gerlos itself (115km71 miles of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Zillertal Arena ski resorts of Königsleiten and Zell am Ziller.

With ski lifts as high as 2,300m7,546ft, snow cover is generally reliable.


Gerlos offers good sking, particularly, for Intermediate skiers.

 By Air

The nearest airport to Gerlos is Innsbruck Airport, 70 minutes drive away.

Munich, Salzburg and Bolzano airports are all within three hours drive.
