In addition to the skiing in Zell am Ziller itself ( 47km 29 miles of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Zillertal Arena ski resorts of Gerlos and Königsleiten.

Skiing

The mountain range surrounding Zell am Ziller features slopes up to 2,500 meters, with notable ski areas including the Gerlosplatte and the Zillertal Arena. Key lifts like the Rosenalmbahn and the Isskogelbahn provide access to popular pistes such as the challenging Black 13 and the family-friendly Blue 4.

Zell am Ziller offers good sking, particularly, for Intermediate and Beginner skiers.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Zell am Ziller is Innsbruck Airport, 52 minutes drive away.

Munich, Salzburg, Bolzano, St. Gallen-Altenrhein, Memmingen and Friedrichshafen airports are all within three hours drive.

Innsbruck Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

Zell am Ziller is easily accessible via Innsbruck Airport, about an hour's drive away. Alternatively, take the train to Zell am Ziller station, where you can connect to local buses that service the resort.

Usual opening is early December, and usual closing is Late April.
