I don't think there's any yet. Should be fine by Xmas eve though!

Thanks for your reply Rosi169. We are skiing novices and chose Niederau as the brochure said it was good for beginners. We are having lessons at the snow dome, Tamworth before we go, so we just hope there will be some snow, thanks again :)

Just keep an eye on this link:

I will be there from the 25th. They do an English Carol Service in the Church which is kinda popular.
But don't panic yet. The resort does not even open officially until the 17th December. Plenty of time yet!

They have fantastic snow making facilities on nearly all of the slopes so you'll have some skiing. I wouldn't worry in the least. By then the temps will be low enough for the snow machines to start getting a good base down.
Niederau is a very good resort for beginners. Make sure you book lessons with the Red ski school, as they are brilliant. Don't get talked into the Blue ski school!
I imagine it'll be quite a nice resort to be at for xmas. Just as long as you don't like apres ski, as I found it livelier in my hotel room than in any of the local bars.

What is wrong Ian? That link shows the 7 day forecast for Niederau? Nothing happening just yet.
Apre-Ski in Niederau is indeed pretty lame frankly.
