What you saying Dave? Niederau are struggling because they are too slow to bring their prices into line with the market?

Those prices are looking cheap I think, so some discounting already going on.

Just looked at those deals in order:

Manchester
Manchester
Room only Gatwick
Manchester
etc

The prices for Gatwick and Half Board start at £414 and to £433 for Niederau.

So horses for courses basically. Niederau looking good value if you want half board and London flights.

Matters not a jot to me, John, just useful to add numbers to straighten out rhetoric.

The last Crystals analysis showed numbers falling consistantly over much of the Alps. Since the banking crisis this has worsened almost everywhere.

Reductions are normally a matter for the hotel owner. I know sometimes, our friend has tried to reduce, but this has not been accepted, because he left it too late. Hotels can make up the money in other ways.

The Crystal annual report can only look at the market segments where they are able to take a count.
Everyone who is not on a package is invisible to Crystal. It makes me smile to think of the effort that must go into producing a head count of people who went on a Tour-Op package, and where they spent their money :D

I get the feeling that most folks in mainland Europe do not arrange their holidays this way.

It should be Maryhofen - it's a lovely name !!
:D
and ....
Phenomenomenomenom is one of those words that just is difficult to stop once it's got started.

Mind you .......
It can probably be spelt any old way
phenomenon 1570s, "fact, occurrence," from L.L. phænomenon, from Gk. phainomenon "that which appears or is seen,"
