We're a group of ten people, four adults, six children, mostly good skiers but the youngest child needs ski school/creche. We're looking for somewhere to stay for a few days in January in the Savoie area (BsM, Les Arcs, Tignes, 3V etc) which will cater for us and won't cost a fortune.

Any suggestions? We don't expect luxury. We like hostels which provide meals.

Budget hotel or chalet or hostel cheap. Not camping in a tent cheap. We'd like somewhere that we get given meals with decent food so that we are not tempted to eat out often.

France and cheap don't go together in the same sentence. However, if it has to be France, consider Alpe d'Huez, Les Deux Alpes or Serre Chevalier as there are chalet hotels there which are really cost effective through a company called Rocket Ski. They also go to Risoul as well.

Alternatively, ski in Italy which is the cheapest of all European ski nations in the Alps. Andorra is no longer cheap like it used to be when it was Ibiza-on-snow.

You can always get cheap deals to Sauze d'Oulz in Italy.

Why not consider Austria?

Hi Again,

Had bit of a brainstorm...... :?: , have a look at SkiMiquel they do some excellent catered holidays at very good prices, but will post stuff regardless.

Best of luck
