We're going to the CIS in Val Cenis for the first week, which really is very cheap, but want somewhere accessible from there for the second week. Youth hostels suit us great, and I'd love to try UCPA, but some of us are a bit too old.

It always amazes when Cheap is mentioned ........ How much is your ski holiday costing you ??

Some peoples idea of cheap is the same as others ideas of expensive. Guess it depends on how much spare cash you have! Me...expensive is anything more than £700 all in.
Carving leaves me all on edge

We all spend this amount of cash because we enjoy spending time on the slopes, but my cheapest ski holiday was last year which amounted to £2100, it was only kept down to that price due to using Airmiles to get to Geneva.
It is one of the reasons that you meet a number of people who only go skiing once and never again.

£700 - travel, accommodation, all food and drink, lift passes. £700? Show me, thats not possible, unless you eat Lentils and sleep in bus shelters.

The CIS has a week in January, including ski hire and lift pass and all food, for under 400 euro. You have to get there, but from Ireland, you can usually get a flight to Paris and a train to the alps for well under 300 euro.

This is why we keep going back there.
