Pfelders - Ski Resort in Ortler Skiarena, Italian Alps - 5km of Piste (1622m to 2170m)

The smallest ski area in the Ortler Skiarena (which includes 11 ski areas) with ski lifts rising towards the Austrian border. The local ski area, which has a reputatiomn for family and child friendliness, is extended to 265km and 78 lifts with the interchangable regional pass.

Pfelders

The Italian ski resort of Pfelders is part of the Ortler Skiarena area with access to 123 individual pistes. In addition to the skiing in Pfelders itself (5km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Ortler Skiarena ski resorts of Haideralm, Latsch Tarscheralm, Maseben, Mendel Ruffrè, Meran 2000, Reinswald, Rittner Horn, Schnalstal, Schöneben, Schwemmalm, Sulden am Ortler, Trafoi am Ortler, Vigiljoch, Watles and Minschuns.

The ski resort itself is above 1500m, so skiing or boarding back to the resort is usually possible. With skiing above 2000 metres, snow cover is generally reliable.

Snowmaking :- Pfelders is able to augment natural snow, on 18km of ski runs, with 2 Snow Cannons.

Ski Lift Capacity :- The 4 Ski Lifts of Pfelders are able to uplift 4,200 skiers / snowboarders per hour.

There are two Airports within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Pfelders are perfectly feasible. Bolzano Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.
