The Italian ski resort of Meran 2000 is part of the Ortler Skiarena Area with access to 123 individual pistes. In addition to the skiing in Meran 2000 itself (40km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Ortler Skiarena ski resorts of Haideralm, Latsch Tarscheralm, Maseben, Mendel Ruffrè, Pfelders, Reinswald, Rittner Horn, Schnalstal, Schöneben, Schwemmalm, Sulden am Ortler, Trafoi am Ortler, Vigiljoch, Watles and Minschuns.

With skiing above 2000 metres, snow cover is generally reliable.

There are three airports within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Meran 2000 are perfectly feasible. Bolzano Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.
