Steinach

Steinach's local ski area is on the 842m fur - mountain which has a good snow reputation and a modern ski area, the name of which translates to Silver Saddle - established in 1999. There are runs for all abilities including a black run that pitches at up to 80%, the steepest in Germany and the northern Alps. Great views, great facilities for kids and floodlit for night skiing.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Steinach is Strasbourg, 52 minutes drive away.

Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden, Hof-Plauen, Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, Basel, Mannheim, Stuttgart, Friedrichshafen, Zurich and St. Gallen-Altenrhein airports are all within three hours drive.

Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden and Strasbourg are just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.
