The ruins of Dürnstein Castle are today the most popular sight in the Wachau. The Hotel Richard Löwenherz is named after Richard the Lionheart, King of England, who was imprisoned in Dürnstein from 1192 to 1193.

Access to the hotel through the pedestrian zone is permitted at any time. You will receive a parking permit upon check-in. One parking space is available per room (3:00 PM – 11:00 AM). Please note: The gate to the courtyard is closed from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Parking spaces within the town are reserved exclusively for residents.

Pets

Dogs are welcome for a fee of €20.00 per night. They are not permitted in the monastery garden or breakfast area.

Opening hours: 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM.
