Stuben looks lovely - can you recommend any hotels?

We've stayed at the Mondschein in the past, http://www.mondschein.com/

:(Hi Daisy ,

Sorry to hear about you're trip ,i agree with Tony_H name and shame the company responsible ,i have used a company called Ski Miquel many times and they offer fantastic chalet accommadation ,in lovely resorts with trained chefs...and above all they are very resonably priced.

I am not entirely sure whci resorts they have accommadation in at the present as i have not used them for a while now,but they may be worth a look.

I hope you find somewhere nice ,and have a safe ,enjoyable trip wherever you decide..

I nearly nearly booked a Ski Miquel holiday, they have 2 places in Bad Gastein, but we opted for St Anton instead. They also go to Serre Che, 2 resorts in Spain as well as Lauterbrunnen, and I think they are talking about US as well.
They look good, prices arent over expensive, but certainly not the cheapest. Looks like they look after their punters though.

:-)Hi,

They do look after their customers very well, over the years I have been 4 times with them (have been checking my old ski passes and receipts) 2x Serre Chevaliere ,1x St. Anton and 1x to Whistler.

Excellent food (all chefs are fully trained ) with a cooked breakfast ,afternoon tea and freshly baked cakes and biscuits and a three course evening meal with unlimited wine.

They also provide drinks on an honour system...whereby if you decide to have a drink extra to whats provided they leave it up to you to provide financial remuneration..normally in a dish or tin somewhere.

Lovely friendly staff ,clean comfortable accommadation, excellent food and good value for money all round. :D

My best man who is a Pilot for BA informed me that the scariest airport he ever landed at was Innsbruck.
I therefore recommend Geneva!

Innsbruck is a fantastic place to land. You fly for around 25 miles down the valley, and depending on the wind direction, either come straight in and land, or fly over the town and do a sharp 180 and come back round to land. The wind has been known to blow across the valley from other connecting valleys, which can make it a little bumpy, but this has not been an issue the times I have flown into Innsbruck. It does get foggy a lot though, and you might find yourself either flying around for ages high up, or going in to the holding stack, where you might go round in circles in bumpy cloud for a while, or alternatively they might try to land and then perform a go around if the visibility changes, which can be a little hairy to say the least.
My last flight out of there was the most unpleasant I have ever had. We flew straight through a heavy snowstorm 5 minutes after take off, and the plane was bouncing all over the place like nothing I have ever experienced before, and I never want to again.
My last flight out of there we were diverted to Munich, the day Freezy flew in I believe, because of thick fog.
