eh? am I missing something?

nothing funnier? really?

TIP: As soon as you see the entrance to the tunnel in the distance, then let the skies run and you'll make it just fine...on skies you can make it all the way through the tunnel too without poleing.
if I'm not skiing then I'm kayaking.

Thank you for a great review
We are going to La plagne Centre in 2 weeks time and can't wait :D
It will be our first visit to Paradiski area.
We will definitely try the toboggan run :!:

Can you recommend other good mountain eateries?
Did you ski down to Montalbert?
Is it a good run?
Are there any nice live music bars in Plagne Centre?

Regards,

Hi Biki17
Yep, Skied down to Montalbert. There's not a vast amount down there, the runs are similar to each other. Blues wind their way down through the trees and a couple of reds cut a more straight line. My first run down was in fresh snow which was lovely.

For eating...we had crepes a couple of days, but to be honest it was just as easy (and rather more cost effective) to head back to Plagne Centre and eat s/market sandwiches & snacks on the hotel terrace.

Scotty's bar in La Plagne Centre has live music some nights...(I know this cause it was very noisy and disturbed us!) Not my scene at all, so I don't know if there are others.

BTW Oxygene Ski school advertise a tobogganing evening at about 25 euro/person. But it's just 8 Euro if you go direct to the cabin at the Colorado chair.

Have fun

Thank you very much for the info
Great picture :!:
Looks like a proper deep powder -)
The trees look beautiful too.

I hope snow stays good until 9 March.
We have been to 3 Valleys last March a week later and still plenty of snow, but very slushy at resort level except Val Thorens.

All the best,

For info, you cannot fly Heathrow to Grenoble with British airways or any other airline that I'm aware of.
There is a charter flight BA 9224c operated by mark Warner but you can't just get a BA flight out of Heathrow to Grenoble. It's a route which to the public doesn't exist

So you can't fly Heathrow to Grenoble, but you can. Thanks Tony_H.

For Clearer Information: I DID fly Heathrow to Grenoble, I have the ticket to prove it. ...and I said it was CHARTER.

Now if you want to question anything else I said then please first bear in mind the following small print:
  • The Hotel I mentioned is also 'charter' (T.O.) , so don't just turn-up.

  • The Ski lessons my family took were private, so the public couldn't just turn up for those either.

  • The lunches we had were on tables for four, so you'll need to find your own table.

  • The sledging, well I was allocated my own sledge, other members of the public could not sit on my lap, they needed to take a similar, but different sledge. And it might not have be as much fun as I had...but it might have been more.

  • -)

But overall I was expressing why I love La Plagne, so all of this detail is largely irrelevant. If you roughly repeated the holiday all over again, either with or without flights from Heathrow to Grenoble, yes they DO really exist, then you could compare your love for La Plagne with mine.

[PS I should never post when there 12 months to go until my next ski trip and that is making me feel very GRUMPY  ]
if I'm not skiing then I'm kayaking.

    I think you're right.
In the last bracketed paragraph anyway.

Assuming you book a mark Warner holiday, you can fly Heathrow to Grenoble.

For the rest of us who don't book mark Warner holidays, you can't.

That's all. You can breathe again now
