I will pack my shorts -)

Just back and thought I would note a couple of places in case anyone searches on here with the same query.

We tended to meet in town as I was having some lessons and the OH was off doing his own thing.

La Cabane at the bottom of the nursery slopes was quite good, burger fries and a drink 11 Euros, pan inis 5 Euros, vin chaud 3.5 Euros.

There's a bakery in the Dolomite square, near the Grand Marnier Creperie, called Le Tartine. Baguettes were 5 Euros and were huge and very filling, pizza 3.5 Euros, bottles of soft drinks 3.5 Euros. They also did pastries, quiche, sausage rolls too if that takes your fancy.

As my lessons tended to finish slightly after the bulk of the ski schools, as I was having private tuition, we seemed to time these places just right and they weren't too busy.
Up there for thinking, down there for skiing...

6. Le Signal - at the top of the Fornet cable car in Val d'Isere.

Had my skis nicked from here last year.

Lesson - get a ski lock for when leaving skis anywhere. Travel insurance requires you stay with your skis (which is obviously unreasonable).
